From Viñales, you can take a day trip to Maria La Gorda to enjoy the beach, but JMC Viñales Aventura recommends staying for at least one night.

• Opportunity for snorkeling and diving with the International Diving Center of Maria La Gorda (CMAS).
• Visit the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, part of the national park. The reserve’s entrance is located at La Bajada.
• Possibility to observe turtles in the Guanahacabibes Park from June to August (a turtle conservation program has been in place since 1998). Visits are between 10 pm and 2 am at Playa La Barca. The eggs start hatching in mid-September.
