Full day horseback tour to discover the riches between valleys, mogotes and tobacco fields
On the way we will discover the wall of prehistory.
Visit the prehistoric wall of “Los Acuáticos montaña”, where we will descend from the horse to climb the mountain, on foot, for about 1 km..
You will meet one of the last families who have unusual beliefs about the therapeutic properties of water.
Then a “Guarapo”, sugar cane juice, will be offered to you. All this with an elegant view over the valley.
It will be possible to buy a snack for lunch during the excursion.
The path will take us through a magnificent natural lake where you can enjoy swimming.
We will visit a tobacco plantation where you will be taught how to grow and make cigars by a farmer born in the valley. A cigar will be offered to you to be enjoyed on site.
You will discover where coffee comes from, from the growth of the coffee tree to the roasting of the bean. As well as the discovery of the Guayabita del pinar (traditional rum of Pinar del Río) and the honey of the valley.
The typical Cuban decor of the Palmarito Valley is a natural classified site protected by Unesco and will amaze you.
You will end the day with a traditional Cuban dinner in José-Manuel’s family home.

A half day horseback between tobacco fields and mogotes

- The family house is about 40 minutes walk from downtown Viñales, there are two options to get in, the first is on foot, you can discover the typical Cuban neighborhoods and much less touristy than the center, or, the second is to take a taxi for 2cuc per person, maximum 4cuc for the taxi of 4 people.

According to your desires we can do:
- A simple stroll in the Palmarito Valley or Silencio with typical Cuban decor, classified natural site and protected by UNESCO that will not fail to amaze you.
- We can also add a visit to a tobacco plantation where the explanations of the process of cultivation and the manufacture of cigars will be given to you by a farmer born in the valley. A cigar will be offered for you to enjoy on site. (Includes a cigar)
- And or where, add a visit to a cafeteria, a mirador on the valley, where you will discover where the coffee comes from, from coffee grows to roasting the grain. Then tasting of Guayabita del Pinar (traditional Pinar del Río rum) and honey from the valley. (Includes tasting of rum and honey)
