A private taxi will pick you up at your particular casa.
Here are the options we offer you:
Full day on horseback to discover the riches between valleys, mogotes and tobacco fields
Departure at 6:30 am from your particular casa in Havana and return at around 10 pm.
Departure of the excursion as soon as you arrive.
Visit the prehistoric wall of “Los Acuáticos montaña”, where we will descend from the horse to climb the mountain, on foot, for about 1 km.
You will meet one of the last families who will share with you their uncommon beliefs about the therapeutic properties of water.
Then a “Guarapo”, sugar cane juice, will be offered to you. All this with an elegant view of the valley.
The path will take us through a magnificent natural lake where you can enjoy swimming.
It will be possible to buy a snack for lunch.
We will visit a tobacco plantation where you will be taught how to grow and make cigars by a farmer born in the valley. A cigar will be offered to you to be enjoyed on site.
You will discover where coffee comes from, from the growth of the coffee tree to the roasting of the bean. As well as the discovery of the Guayabita del pinar (traditional rum of Pinar del Río) and the honey of the valley.
The typical Cuban decor of the Palmarito Valley is a natural site classified and protected by Unesco that will not fail to amaze you.
You will end the day with a traditional Cuban meal in José-Manuel’s family home. If you are a vegetarian or have intolerances, you can mention it to us, and we will be happy to cook for you.
The duration of the excursion is about 9 hours, including about 4 hours on the horse.
The taxi will pick you up at the end of the meal to take you back to Havana.

A half day horseback between tobacco fields and mogotes

You will discover a natural lake where you can swim.
We will visit a tobacco plantation where you will be taught how to grow and make cigars by a farmer born in the valley. A “Coco Loco” (with or without rum), a traditional Cuban drink, will be offered to you as well as a cigar.
You will discover where coffee comes from, from the growth of the coffee tree to the roasting of the bean. As well as the discovery of the Guayabita del pinar (traditional rum of Pinar del Río) and the honey of the valley.

The taxi will pick you up at the end of the meal to take you to the prehistoric wall and to the hotel “Los Jazmines” to admire the view of Viñales. Return to Havana around 6:30 pm.
