Chrystel and Manuel made me experience the real Cuba. It really felt like home with them. We went on a long horse ride through the valley of Viñales.. they showed me how to roll cigars and the whole process of doing them and also how they produce coffee and their rum. We went Zip lining together which was amazing. I really enjoyed that day. The Best experience i had while being in Cuba.

My family (with two teens - who was not familiar with horses) did the 5 hour tour. Very nice, trustworthy and friendly guides (Chrystel and her father in law, Tati) who let us decide the pace the whole day. Half of the time was spend on the horse and the rest on the farms and swimming in the lake. The trip ended with a very nice lunch prepared by Chrystel's mother in law and they fixed a taxi for the return trip. This is a well driven small family company and you instantly get the wonderful "down to earth"- feeling. They have ~10 horses in total, so there will always be small groups. My family had the guides to ourselves and they were very open and responsive to all our questions. We bought cigars at the tobacco plantation, and the cigars was just as tasteful as the commercial brands - and much cheaper. In total - This is highly recommended!! More

My boyfriend and I spent a wonderful afternoon and evening with JMC Vinales. Jose Manuel is the owner, a lovely person and great tour guide. We first rode on horseback through his neighborhood (as he waved hello and shared greetings with neighbors and friends), then we rode into the Valle to visit a number of small business owners and entrepreneurs who talked with us about the cigar and rum making processes (yes, there were a few samples included!) Jose Manuel showed us how he cares for his horses at the end of the ride, then we walked to his mother's restaurant for dominoes, a touch more rum, and a hearty dinner. After our eventful afternoon and evening, Jose Manuel coordinated transportation for us back to our lodging. It was a great experience ~ Highly recommended!

My husband and I plus our two teenage daughters took the 4 hour plus lunch experience. We thoroughly enjoyed riding through the tobacco fields. Watching cigars being made, tasting both the rum and honey. Meeting the locals.
We ended our tour with lunch at our guides mother’s house.

Visiting The Valley of Viñales by horse with Jesús was one of the highlights of my trip to Cuba (together with diving). He was amazing, funny and had a great day seeing his country. He is very chatty and explained all about their land, country, people. With him you will know is living in Viñales... We encountered really charming people on the way, so they could show how they produce cigars, try guarapo... don’t look for other companies. Just go with them and won’t regret it. Every minute of the trip is worthed. Chrystel is also great! Didn’t go with her, but was helping me with transportation and even had me Bday cake prepared. All of them are incredible! And if you are lucky you even get to see the “once a month” get together of the village for poetic singing... was really cool (reminded me totally of tenderete canario ?).

Entusiasmante - Dopo un lungo viaggio in giro per Cuba siamo arrivati a Vinales per visitare il bellissimo parco naturale patrimonio dell’UNESCO.

Abbiamo fatto il tour a cavallo, circondati dalle coltivazioni del posto e dalle bellissime montagne della Sierra de Vinales!!
Siamo stati ospiti di Mario e la sua famiglia, coltivatori di caffè che ci hanno mostrato tutti i processi della lavorazione e dove abbiamo assaggiato un ottimo Rum di loro produzione.
Per concludere la giornata Tati ci ha ospitato nella sua casa dove abbiamo cenato con la sua famiglia.

I took the 5 hr ride with Chrystel and José-Manuel and it was fantastic! This was my second time riding a horse, but it was not an issue at all. Both guides were patient and accommodating, and horses were incredibly relaxed. I learned a lot during the trip about cigar, coffee, honey and rum productions, which included tasting of cigar, honey, rum and coco-loco. Christel and José-Manuel not only made sure that my experience with them was great, but also answered my many questions about Cuba in advance of my trip and helped me book my casa in Viñales, other parts of Cuba and helped with transportation as well. You can ask about anything and they will probably make it happen.
Fantastic service all around! Book a tour with them and you will not regret it!

I absolutely loved the 9h excursion with JMC Viñales! With Tati as a guide it was really exciting and interesting to ride around the plantations and visit many different farms, meeting field workers and trying some of Cuba’s finest products. Après quelques échanges depuis la France et une entrevue pour discuter d’un site de plongée, nous avons réellement fait connaissance lors de l’excursion à cheval de 4h ! Un régal! Les heures ne sont pas comptées, on découvre la vallée sous un merveilleux angle avec deux points de vue très intéressant : celui de Chrystel qui a fait un tour du monde et qui a beaucoup de recul sur les pays qu’elle a visité, et celui de Manuel qui connaît son pays, sa vallée et ses chevaux mieux que personne! Nos relations avec ce couple a été bien au delà de la relation professionnel ! Nous avons partagé bien plus ! Nous recherchions exactement ce type d’activité et de rencontre purement naturelles et locales ! C’est réussi, bravo mille merci et à très vite les amis !!

We enjoyed our ride through the lush valley of Viñales so much that we arranged for a second ride with Tati the following morning. The horses are well looked after, and the western style riding gear comes with an extra saddle pad for the rider ! We saw many birds (including Tocororos, the Cuban national birds and took different trails - an experience to be repeated soon!

Jose' made this experience wonderful. Views were beautiful and his horses were very well taken care of and behaved. I'm a fairly experienced rider, however, my friend had never ridden before. Jose' was very patient and well informed on making the ride great for both of our levels. He guided us to a great tobacco plantation where we purchased cigars. I had read reviews warning of bait and switch at the local farmers. However, the experienced cigar smokers I gave several different brands I bought at formal shops as well as the local plantation said the local were just as quality. They were very informative of their business and proud of their family accomplishments. We also visited a honey, coffee and rum plantation. Then Jose' took us back to his family's restaurant where his mother prepared a fantastic Cuban feast for us. We played domino's and had shots of rum. Jose' made us feel very comfortable and welcome. This tour went from 2:30 until approx 9pm, really you would be hard to find such a bargain filled with so many exciting aspects for a full day of adventure.
